How to use and maintain your simple bamboo kuripe

The Standard Bamboo Kuripe is intended for individual use. Find a peaceful and quiet space, and once you are ready, follow these steps:

1. Load the rapé into the end of the longer side of the kuripe, which is the end that will be positioned at your nostril.
2. Prepare yourself by taking a moment and setting an intention for the ceremony.
3. Position the longer end of the kuripe in your nostril, taking time to find a comfortable angle.
4. Position the shorter end of the kuripe at the opening of your lips.
5. Administer the rapé using one steady, controlled breath through the mouth end.
6. Pause and allow yourself a moment. You can close your eyes and breathe through your mouth. Wait a few minutes before blowing your nose or spitting out residue as necessary.
7. Clean your handmade bamboo kuripe by removing any remaining powder with a small brush or clean cloth. If necessary, use water (avoid hot water) and dry the kuripe thoroughly before storing it in a dry place.
