More about Mushroom Growkit McKennaii
Magic Mushrooms are mushrooms that influence your consciousness. You look at the world and your own personality in a different way, you experience your senses differently (sounds can be distorted, colours are more intense, tastes explode in your mouth etc...). A trip strengthens your feelings, so keep in mind that it is important to ask yourself how you feel first. Time and space suddenly feel very different, a minute can sometimes take up to an hour. In terms of effects, users report:
- A positive energy and a clean feeling
- Experiencing the senses more intensely
- See yourself and others on a deeper level
- Creativity in thoughts and associations
- It is also described as a 'journey through your mind', in which doors can be opened that normally prefer to remain closed.
Whether you are a beginner or have been aware of the special characteristics of these mushrooms for a very long time, you remain aware of the importance of Set and Setting. This means that you reflect on the feeling with which you start the trip, what has happened lately, whether you have slept well. Setting is about the environment in which you are going to trip, indoors or outdoors? Alone or with a friend or someone you don't know well? Tripping with someone else is very special but can also be confronting. It is important that you feel safe. Be honest with yourself and others.
Terrence McKenna
This strain is named after a famous (and notorious) person in the history of psychedelics.
Terrence McKenna was born in 1946 Colorado. During his studies he became fascinated by psychedelics and came into contact with cannabis and LSD. He travelled with his brother Dennis to the Amazon in search of psychedelic plants. In the south of Colombia they came into contact with magic mushrooms. Once back in the United States, he completed his studies with a tailor-made degree in ecology, raw material recovery and shamanism. At that time no one had figured out how to cultivate magic mushrooms, but in the 1980s they had managed to grow mushrooms on a large scale.
Terrence McKenna is seen as the figurehead of the psychedelic revolution. He has written several books and lectured endlessly. He died in 2000 of a brain tumor.
His brother Dennis McKenna is an ethnopharmacologist (studying traditional medicine) and researcher. He is currently a senior researcher for the Natural Health Products Research Group at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
WARNING
Magic mushrooms are not toys nor partydrugs, so they should be used consciously. Make sure you get proper information before consumption. Never take more than 15 grams of fresh mushrooms when trying for the first time. Keep out of reach from children and pets. Do not use magic mushrooms when pregnant, in case of physical and/or mental problems, or when taking medication. Always consult a physician in case of doubt. Do not combine with alcohol or drugs.
Caution: The substrate contains gluten. The mushrooms themselves contain traces of this. Not suitable for people with (severe) gluten intolerance.
Note: Start growing as soon as you have received the grow kit. If this is not immediately possible, store the kit at a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius.

Usage
Always start with a low dose of mushrooms. Determine your portion at the beginning, there's no point in taking a second dose later (or this will have very little effect, your body will quickly build up tolerance). Mushrooms can't be kept fresh for long, in the fridge for about a week or a little longer. You can dry your harvests (Note: this is illegal in the Netherlands) and keep them for a very long time. Store in a dark, dry place.
